Hello Loves,

So as promised on Instagram, here’s my blueberry sugar body scrub recipe!!!

My sister has super sensitive skin, so I am always on the lookout for homemade recipes that are made from natural ingredients and don’t have all the harsh chemicals that are hidden in store bought products. I love love sugar scrubs, I started making them last year and absolutely fell in love with them. Summer tends to make my skin super dry, I mean it, I cannot live without applying body lotion after a shower and this scrub helps remove dead skin cells and nourishes the skin with coconut oil.

As you may remember from my first post ever, Coconut Oil is my holy grail weapon for all beauty problems and I always have an extra bottle hidden somewhere in my closet. The best part about this scrub is that once you apply it in the shower and rinse it, the extra oil washes off because the body has already absorbed all it needs. The oils nourishing capabilities leaves you with smooth and healthy skin.

For the scrub part of the recipe, I used sugar, but you can also substitute it with sea salt if you have that lying around, I just prefer sugar better because they are gentler and more hydrating than salt scrubs. Sugar exfoliates the skin, revealing the glowing, healthy skin lying underneath. Blueberry is a superfood that is rich in antioxidants and has many benefits from fighting acne to fighting signs of ageing.

This cool, refrigerated scrub will be the perfected ending to a hot summer day!

Here’s how you can make it
