Hope you are having a great Monday! Don’t know what you guys have been up to but if you follow me on Instagram you might know that I recently went to India to attend my cousin’s wedding and it was epic! Literally my first ever Indian wedding (I know it’s a shame, but I don’t get that many chances here in Dubai !), anyway, there was everything from Haldi to Mehendi ceremonies, and it was truly memorable.
So moving on to today’s post, if you grew up in Al Ain and have left it for even a few months to move to the city, you will know what I mean when I say that no matter where you go, Al Ain will always be home <3 While I love the greenery and serenity, Al Ain does lack one thing I love the most in the world – FOOD! We’ve had a few big restaurant chains open here in the last few years, which is big but still, it’s not even close to what you get in Dubai. So when my sister and I found out about this cute little food truck that was open in Al Ain for a week, we were out of the door within 10 minutes with a wallet in one hand and a camera in the other 🙆 Thanks for the heads up @thefoodsisters3
Candy Dessert Bar is a cute little pop-up dessert bar that moves from place to place, and it’s currently serving in our very own Al Ain! <3 This all pink store serves, as the name suggest, candiessss – well actually a small list of totally yummy desserts and ice creams that look so pretty that all you want to do is stare at them (till they start melting of course 🙈). So we didn’t get the chance to try much because between you and me, I am not exactly allowed to eat sweets, but Candy Dessert Bar wasn’t going to come to Al Ain every day, so whatever 😛
PINK BY CANVAS, Dhs 30
Pink ice cream, in a pink cone, topped off with cotton candy, do I really need to say more? This insta-worthy dessert tastes just as good as it looks and the cotton candy and pistachio crumbles on top are the perfect combinations! They also add more toppings on request, so if you don’t like pistachio, you can always opt for something else.
PISTACHIO FUDGE, DHS 40
I was actually a bit confused on what else to order because desserts just confuse me but one of their super sweet employees suggested this and boy was it good! This pistachio fudge cake was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, pistachio sauce and crumbles. It’s a little bit crunchy, and a little bit soft, and I’d highly recommend this if you love super sweet desserts.
So that’s it for today guys,I just wanted to do a short and sweet review for you guys! I’d definitely recommend you go try it out, especially if you are craving something sweet, you won’t get this in Al Ain frequently 😉 Also, Candy Dessert Bar is in Al Ain only till the 4th of March, so make sure you check it out before it ends! You can find it at Qasr Al Muwaiji, Al Ain !
Until next time lovelies,
Thought of the day : What’s better than a candy store? A candy dessert bar 😏
